Strange Woman
When in love
It’s like staring at a new image
We get scared at what we see
We become different
We forget all the boundaries set
All the mountains built
Suddenly it don’t matter anymore
It’s okay if we made the wrong choice
All that matters is for now
It just feels right
Nkoye
He loves to draw
She loves to colour with words
They see the world in diagonal
Yet bounded by their love for God and music
Fear
Fear of failure
Fear of disfavour
Fear of the future
Fear of death
Fear is a disease
It imprisons
Blind vision
It kills
They lack knowledge
So fear puts them in bondage
They will remain fearful
Until they learn to break the shackles of fear
Tough Girl
Am in love with you
But afraid to show it
I want to hold you
But afraid of being called loose
I want to kiss you
But afraid of being ostracized
So for the sake of the world
I build a strong wall
So the world can see am tough
No Goodbye
I wish you said goodbye, the silence wouldn’t be loud
I waited just to hear you whisper
I heard nothing
I pleaded with words and endless calls
I waited
Your lips did not quiver
I waited
Alas, you spoke
Like thunder your words proved deafening
I wish you had remained silent
Your words wouldn’t stop echoing in my ears

The Second Bite
Sometimes we loose ourselves
Forget who we truly are
We take the wrong turn
We hurt ourselves
We experience the second bite
Although familiar, we need the second bite
To get the message right
?
The best ingredient for any meal is the cook.
The best ingredient foe success is self-will.
The will to dream, to endure the heat, to be unique.
The will to re-strategise.
Regardless of the cheers, our greatest motivation comes from being our own cheer leader.
Then like the legendary “Olu” we can say
“I must succeed! I shall succeed! I will succeed!”
?
Love was an illusion
Hard to find, impossible to hold
Stories told by romantics
A collateral I didn’t possess
Love was my vision
Finding “us” divine
Stranger
I was a stranger
He was a foreigner
I was up
He was under
I was a heathen
He was a saint
We were worlds apart
Love is built on the foundation of friendship
We were never friends
We can’t be enemies
